Required Documents for Nepal Driving License

Prepare every required paper before your office visit so your application is not delayed.

What You Should Bring

Most delays happen because applicants arrive with incomplete copies, missing stamps, or outdated records. Use this page as a simple pre-visit checklist.

Printed Online Application Form

Bring the completed and signed printout of your online driving license application.

Citizenship Certificate

Carry the original citizenship certificate and one photocopy. Foreign nationals should carry a valid passport where applicable.

Old License for Category Addition

If you are adding a vehicle category, bring your old license with one photocopy.

Blood Group Card

Keep a blood group identification card from a recognized health institution.

Postage Stamp

Carry a postage or revenue stamp of Rs. 10.

Color Blindness Approval Letter

If needed, carry a doctor-issued letter regarding color vision condition and approval.

Before You Visit the Office

  • Make sure originals are clean, readable, and not damaged.
  • Carry extra photocopies in case the office asks for them.
  • Use recent photographs if your office requests printed photos.
  • Check office notices in case local requirements differ slightly.
